Prelude
a light dynamic painting
2021 | ink on wood panel, RGB LEDs | 5’ x 4’
Love is complicated.
Relationships are beautiful, messy things. In a testament to one of the great journeys of life, Prelude explores the layers of a relationship using competing symbols of tranquility, growth, and destruction.
Is the snake a threat or a guardian? Are the birds courting or fighting? Is the nest being built or destroyed? Like love, the artwork remains ever-changing and ambiguous.
Prelude was partially funded by the Boulder Art in Community grant initiative.
Prelude is available for purchase and rental
